Stila — Staff Designer & Creative Partner, 2014–2020

Six years. Every type of project.

My relationship with Stila spanned six years across three phases — staff senior designer from 2014 to 2017, then a two-year contract shooting all of the brand's social and product photography in my own studio, then freelance graphic design through 2020. Across that time I worked on packaging, retail, campaigns, photography, and print — from the Sephora gondola to hand-painted limited edition collections.

SPRING SEASONAL SETS WITH ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR ARTWORK
01 — Packaging & Illustration

Painted by hand. Designed for production.

Each of these limited edition sets started not on a screen but on paper. I painted the designs by hand in watercolor, scanned them, and built the final packaging artwork from there — a process that gave each collection a warmth and distinctiveness that digital illustration alone doesn't produce. Three seasonal collections and one limited edition brush, all taken from original painting through to production-ready art.

02 — Photography

My studio. My ideas. My styling. My photography.

From 2017 to 2019 I held a contract role shooting all of Stila's social media and product photography — working out of my own studio. Arm swatches, product smears, lifestyle — the full range of beauty content the brand needed to show up consistently across their digital channels. Selected work below.

03 — Retail · Print

Sephora from gondola to cast member edu.

Retail design at Sephora requires close collaboration across creative, marketing, and manufacturing — coordinating between brand vision and retailer requirements at every step. The Sephora gondola redesign was a full cross-functional project: concept through press, working directly with the manufacturer and partnering with the Creative Director on every decision. The print pamphlet shows is an example of the education materials we use behind the scenes at Sephora.
